Hey everyone, so i got a little bored here at  my hotel in Tokyo and decided that i’d make a page on the blog with info about things to do, eat, and places to shop at in the area around campus/Harrisburg/etc….

3 weeks??

Hey everyone,

Sorry again for the lack of updates but i’ve been super busy!

Two weeks ago Lion ambassadors went to the All Campus Conference up at University Park! it was soo much fun! and me & meghan made friends from PSU- Berhand haha.

Last weekend Lion ambassadors had our community easter egg hunt for the kids and it was sooo fun. Little kids are soo competative!!!

Yesterday was our end of the year Lion Ambassador party. I  got to show off the video i made featuring most of the events and activities we did all year which was nice. Everyone loved it!

and now that gets me to my point…SCHOOL IS OVER IN ABOUT 3 WEEKS!!!

im sad. :( Meghan & Mike aka my M&Ms are leaving me and next fall they’ll be at UP which sucks!!! but atleast i’ll have a place to crash at when i go up for football games :) haha.

tomorrow is a big day for the campus!

Tomorrow night at 830 – 11pm is Penn State harrisburgs (and all of Penn States) first bonfire!!!! (PSU-HBG is setting history!)

its gonna be sooo much fun!

SPRING BREAK!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME HAPPY BIRTHDAYYYY TOOOO MEEE I AM NOOOWWW TWENTYYYY!

 

like my song? haha. So yeah I turned 20! and on spring break! woohoo! haha. So my birthday was last saturday which was officially the start of spring break 09!

 

Day 1: Saturday March 7th: spent most of the day in a car with 3 other friends on our way down to MYRTLE BREACH, SOUTH CAROLINA! haha that car ride was mucho fun! we left PA at 130am! (yes thats right!) and drove all the thru the morning and mid afternoon only stopping for gas and Dennys!! haha. We got to our lovely beach house around 3pm and spent the day lounging on the beach and our deck! And we made friends! Our neighbors were a group as big as ours from University of North Carolina Wilmington (aka UNCW)  and of course, we all are now really good friends haha. Anyways, the rest of the day was spent showering and getting ready for dinner & our first night. While iw as getting ready, mid-eyeliner application…i was surprised with a birthday cake!! It’s dora!!!

My crew sang me happy birthday and of course…they put trick candles haha. After 5 or so minutes the boys finally just went to town and helped me blow the candles out. haha. After the birthday food and fun we went over the the UNCW house and once again i got Happy Birthday sang to me . haha it was really sweet.

Day 2 -3: the best days of beach weather! nothing like 85 deg and sunshine! Of course, we spent our days tanning!!!!

Day 4: the sun took all our energy! that day we all slept in and just chilled in the house. Some people went out to mini golf while some people stayed and went to the swimming pool!!!! (indoor and heated!)

Day 5: we went go kart racing!!!! it was soooo much fun! Then me & some friends went to Johnny Rockets for some 50s dining! And my best friend shanna came to visit from North carolina!!

Day 6: we went to the Broadway on the beach complex and shopped, ate tons of ice cream and fudge, and our fav. we went to the Aquarium! haha it was really neat and i am officially scared of sharks!

Day 7: our trip came to an end. We left MB, SC for HBG,PA at 10am and drove drove drove. Only stopping for gas, and wendys/tacobell/chick fil-a/subway.

 

Spring Break was definitely an experience. Good/bad but it was fun and its always nice to get away from school and just….RELAX!!

cannot wait for next years!

but until then….school tomorrow and for the rest of the semester! ugh..haha. Lets hope it goes by fast!

$7.5 million FOR THE KIDS!

Yeah thats right! Penn State raised $7.5 million dollars for the Four Diamonds fund!!

Penn State Harrisburg contributed $10,000+ of that $7.5 million which is over double what we raised for THON 08 last year!

Micah & Jordan were our dancers & we here at PSH are sooo proud of them! Dancing for 46 hours is not easy!

Harrisburg was represented by the best the school has to offer: Blue & White, Lion Ambassadors & the brothers from Kappa Zigma, plus many old psh students & friends! We rocked the Orange all weekend & danced our way to the end! We even made up an official Penn State Harrisburg dance which will live on and be passed down over the years haha.

New New New & Newer??

HEY EVERYONE!

So first of all, this week has been ridiculous and busy busy! Lion Ambassadors have been selling magical Night of Giving tickets, so my time is consumed by that and school!

Anyways, well this week, our country made history. yes, we all know Barack Obama is now President-Elect. Congrats…however, seeing how i hate politics…thats all im saying about the election…this blog is a ELECTION/POLITICS/ETC free zone!

Ok…so back to me…haha jk

School has been crazy (i think i said that before). I had a history test last friday which…i know i bombed! ugh sucks but ive been doing alright in that class so it shouldnt affect my grade too much. Its just one test….?? Im so happy that my Nature of Media test has been pushed back yet again!! woohoo! more time to study!!

Other than all that, ive just been doing random things. Selling MNofG tickets for LAmb, working, homework, and discovering new music!!

MUSIC: so yeah im normally dont like Rock or whatever, but i was intrigued by the band Tokio Hotel. They’re German, and the only reason i paid any attention to them was because the lead singer has the most ridiculous head of hair ever!

but yeah so i guess theyre gaining popularity in the States, so i just looked up their music and i must say…i luv it!!!! Bill (lead singer….with the hair lol) has an amazing voice! Plus, these guys are only 18! ridiculous! Last night they won an MTV European Music Award for best Headliner…beating out The Cure, & Metallica…CRAZY! You all should check them out!!

Also, im super excited because next week Mika’s new DVD comes out! (incase you didnt know…im the biggest Mika fan alive!) and pretty soon Britney Spears’ new cd comes out too! (shes back! and better than ever! and you all know you have a soft spot for her in your hearts haha).

To conclude this blog…

Today our Mens Soccer Team is playing their semi-finals game here at PSH at 2pm! if your around you should come and watch!!

Also, this Sunday is Magical Night of Giving at Colonial Park Mall!! 7pm to 10pm. Tickets can be bought today at school all day in the lobby! Buy a ticket and support PSH Lion Ambassadors.

and lastly….two weeks till THANKSGIVING BREAK!!! (more on that later)

one last thing: if your in the Colonial Park area near Best buy  & also near Guitar center, be sure to make a donation to PSH’s THON canners who will be canning at those areas this weekend!!! Help us raise money for Four Diamonds!!! FTK!!

Happy Weekend!

This Saturday morning is beautiful! The sun is out, the leaves are falling, its a little chilly but still nice. Sounds like true Fall Weather!!

So school has been….school. haha. Nothing major to report.

Today is a busy dayyyy!! Me & my best Courtney are going to the Boys Soccer Game (2:30pm / HOME / be there!), then im heading off to do some errans. Blah. Boring but it’s life. Getting the oil changed in my car, shopping for halloween, etc..

Oh so i forgot to mention, I started my new job at Wet Seal last week! It’s sooo much fun! Being around clothes = heaven….for me haha!. Anyways, so thats going good. It’s nice not having to make food and get all gross. ugh. haha.

Last night was probably the most random night ever! Me & courtney went to Moe’s with some friends of ours, then we went back to her house & watched “Knocked Up”. Well the random part of the story was that our friends decided it would be brilliant to jump into her pool! Fun right? Not when its like 42 deg. outside and her pool is like 3 degs. haha. Well of course, you only live once, so we got in….and IT WAS SOOO COLD! i felt like i was one of those people on the titanic. It was ridiculous. :(

We survived but i think i got a little cold or something cuz im a bit sick. haha. oh well.

Anyways thats about all thats goin on!

how i do summer

So hello everyone!

 

just thought i’d update a bit.

So during the summer, most people usually relax and bum out. Yeah, well mainly me! haha. Of course, i work during the day but seriously, after work i dont have much of a life. My post-work days consist of laundry, cleaning my house, working out (rarely), reading books, myspacing, facebooking, iTune-ing, and of course, my fav.- hangin out with Vanessa watching movies or watching Robert Schwartzman’s (lead singer of Rooney) youtube posts. haha.

I seriously need more fun in life!

i mean, yes i do hangout with friends, but one can only play so much guitar hero, or talk about boys for sooo long.

 

Anyways, hopefully this slump in my active/social life will end soon.  Cuz its bummin’ me out!

 

Ok well thats about it.

time to organize my closet…its a walk-in…be jealous…

Movin On Up…

Havent update in awhile…blame my job for that. haha.

So obviously i’ve been working none stop for about two weeks now. It’s nice to get back into a routine after a week of nothing when school let out.

Today I moved into my new house!! its super cute!!  I’ve spent all day putting together furniture, helping my date get the new fridge inside, etc….

I am sooooo excited for this weekend! Im going  to NYC for two days!!  Gonna do some shoppingggggg!! YEAH!

Hmmm other news???….

Oh im taking summer classes starting in July. Well i shouldnt say “classes” more like “class” haha. But I just wanna get my science out of the way. So yeah, im excited for that because summer courses keep your mind in “education mode”, and a lot of people take them so im sure i’ll be seeing some friends too!!

 

Well i must get going, ,my new neighbors are “sharing” their wireless with me, (even though they arent every aware of it haha) and i feel bad. haha.

Summer!!

SCHOOLS OUT FOR SUMMER!!

School finally ended about a week ago and i am soooo happy!

Summer so far has been low key. I caught up with my best friends from high school, had some pizza & movie dates with my bests, movie nights, shopping, etc… the usual friend stuff.

so far my summer movie watching has consisted of: Iron Man (4 stars), Forgetting Sara Marshall (2.5 stars), Speed Racer (2 stars), The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (86487364873…etc STARS!  PRINCE CASPIAN IS HOTT! haha).

im looking forward to: Indiana Jones # 4 (Shia Labeuf = hott), Mama Mia (luv musicals! especially with Abba soundtracks), Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 (its a girlie girl movie lol).

 

Anyways time to sleep…i gotta go work tomorrow! YEAH FOR SMOOTHIE MAKING! [tropical smoothie cafe….good place to eat! *wink*wink*)

Busy Busy Busy

So this weekend began with my favorite things in the world: Music and a good cause.

ROCK FOR CHANGE was soo much fun. The bands were beyond good. Started off a little slow but by the end of the night everyone was having soo much fun. Me & Vanessa rocked out to “Letter for Lovers”, “Circus Circus” and “An Early Ending” while we took breaks from our staff jobs backstage. haha. soo much fun.

Saturday was busy too! Open House was that morning so of course, i signed up to give tours. That was fun. Met a lot of incoming freshmen, and of course, parents eager to find out a lot of information. haha. All in all i think saturday went well.

Today, sunday, i was a bum! I watched the first two seasons of Laguna Beach haha. so bored! Now im watching “A cinderella story”….cute movie.

Anyways, I will hopefully have pictures up from ROCK FOR CHANGE and…Boobies ball [vanessa has been eager to see those lol] by the end of the week!
