Summer is over…in a day.

Once again the time has come (for the second time this summer) to pack my bags and try to get off this island. I must say its going to be sad and i will be sad to leave. There will be things i wont miss of course like non-english speakers, crazy drivers, high Yen rates, etc. But im going to miss a lot of things like seeing my parents everyday, hanging out with my little brother, sleeping in, not working, casa de taco’s taco rice, being driven around everywhere (yes even though i had my license to drive here…i still didnt haha), and well…im only human so this next thing im going to miss shouldnt be a shock….and that would be the many many manyyyy marines over here. (the ones my age of course!). There is nothing like seeing a bunch of guys lookin’ extra fresh in their uniforms, all ironed, and marine-like. haha. definitely gonna miss the eye candy for sure. lol. (dont judge me lol) we dont have any of that at school :( But most importantly, i really am gonna miss my family :( but i’ll see them in december so thats not too far away!

so i guess things are already kicking off back at school. Freshies move into dorms today! oh how i remember the day moving into 9k’s my freshman yr. (and how i dont miss at all! dont ask). Im looking forward to meeting the class of 13. I know a lot of us are hoping theyre a lot better than class of 12 (no offense to some of my friends lol) but 12 was a crazy group of kids, and so far what we’ve seen on tours and stuff, 13 should be pretty calm…haha.

Lion Ambassadors are already getting back into the swing of things. Exec Board & Committee Chair meeting is scheduled for this monday @ noon. and well…i’ll be on an airplane then so looks like im missing that. :( and yeah obviously im missing my first day of classes too :( way to make a good first impression right? haha. cant help it. United Airlines suckssss. it was either fly back on monday or “sometime in september” (yeah theyre words exactly). So uhh…yeah i think its okay to miss one day.

Im super excited to get back to PA. I’ve missed it…kinda? haha. i mean its nice being on an island all summer but…i mean, no neato burrito here…and i just cant stand not having Neato for more than 2 weeks. lol. And i miss driving on the “right” side of the road. But thats it. oh and i miss my friends duh! but yeah…if PSH could come to this island, that would make my life. but…haha duh thats not ever gonna happen.

OMG almost forgot, i got my tickets for Perez Hilton Presents…concert. its gonna be amazing! Spet 13th in Philly!!! Cant wait! im really going to see FrankMusik whom i luv luv luv! and hopefully…i’ll meet FrankMusik aka Vincent Frank. We’re facebook friends (legit. his real facebook). So if i meet him, we’ll be like real life friends haha. i kid i kid but you never know!?!

Anyways gotta get to sleep. 230am here and i need my rest for my last full day here in Japan.

summer….over in 15

Hey everyone!!

So summer has been a whole lot of things!

fun, amazing, interesting, eventful, exhausting, new, old, helpful, etc….

As some may know, i’ve been in Japan since May 11th! and then when i was suppose to go  home in July i decided that i just couldnt leave my family so i extended my trip to this past thursday….which then caused me to extend again to the 24th. Yeah, bad weather = canceled flight!

But lets back up. to the beginning.

So i left PA and headed half way around the world to Okinawa, Japan.  the traveling was kinda exhausting but fun also.  One word of advice, when you go to an airport and plan on getting food, be sure to have several forms of payment on hand. I made the mistake of just carrying my debit card and when i went to Wendys at the Wash. Dullas airport, they werent taking cards and failed to mention that until i was at the registar, so i had to get out of line (which i waited in for 20 mins) and go find an ATM which was its own journey to the other side of the terminal. SO ANNOYING!  anyways, so yeah i flew from Harrisburg to DC to Tokyo then to Okinawa. fun stuff. long day or days? idk how long it took. haha. It was really funny when i got to Tokyo i saw this girl i saw in at the Hbg airport and i realized that it was Cynthia from school. SMALL WORLD! haha we were on the same flights from HBG to DC to TOKYO! and we didnt even realize. crazy!

Anyways, so yeah ive been on Okinawa since May 12th. Its been fun and definitely relaxing. No work, no school = awesome! haha. Sleeping in has been nice. My mom says i making up for the sleep i dont get all year at school…i think shes right.  So yeah ive just been “chillin’ ” the whole summer. we’ve been to the beach several times but its not really my thing.?? i know call me crazy but sometimes sand gets annoying. haha. Omg something else i love about Japan is….that i can gamble! haha. slot machines are amazing! i have to admit that my parents have had to cut me off several times. haha. crazyness! Something i like doing here to is shopping! even though its kinda expensive :/ but the fashions are different im trying to stalk up on some good stuff. Something else pretty interesting to tell is that i got my drivers license so i can drive over here. the test was wayyy too easy. lol. But i will say, i dont drive much because i have no idea where im going it all looks the same! and for some reason driving on the “wrong” side of the road is weird. haha. We went to Tokyo in June. it was really cool. I think Tokyo is just a way more confusing version of NYC. but its still fun. Everyone drives expensive cars! i dont think ive ever seen so many porsches or lamburginis inmy life! ridiculous! haha. Umm what else? Oh we went to Tokyo Disneyland! it was really nice and its just like Disneyland in California. We also hit up Disney Sea which is a disney theme park focused on Sea Ports. really interesting and fun. Something to check out if you ever hit up Tokyo!

So yeah thats been pretty much it. Just hanging out spending time with the family. I made a friend or two ??? guys…yeah haha. theyre pretty chill. Around my age…Marines. haha enough said. You know i realized that the guys and girls around here who are my age and in the Military are sooo much more mature than many of the kids back home at school.  No offense. lol. But its true, i think its because the “kids” here are actually working and having to make some pretty tough adult  decisions for themselves. Its kinda refreshing to be around it.

HEY EVERYONE!

So first of all, this week has been ridiculous and busy busy! Lion Ambassadors have been selling magical Night of Giving tickets, so my time is consumed by that and school!

Anyways, well this week, our country made history. yes, we all know Barack Obama is now President-Elect. Congrats…however, seeing how i hate politics…thats all im saying about the election…this blog is a ELECTION/POLITICS/ETC free zone!

Ok…so back to me…haha jk

School has been crazy (i think i said that before). I had a history test last friday which…i know i bombed! ugh sucks but ive been doing alright in that class so it shouldnt affect my grade too much. Its just one test….?? Im so happy that my Nature of Media test has been pushed back yet again!! woohoo! more time to study!!

Other than all that, ive just been doing random things. Selling MNofG tickets for LAmb, working, homework, and discovering new music!!

MUSIC: so yeah im normally dont like Rock or whatever, but i was intrigued by the band Tokio Hotel. They’re German, and the only reason i paid any attention to them was because the lead singer has the most ridiculous head of hair ever!

but yeah so i guess theyre gaining popularity in the States, so i just looked up their music and i must say…i luv it!!!! Bill (lead singer….with the hair lol) has an amazing voice! Plus, these guys are only 18! ridiculous! Last night they won an MTV European Music Award for best Headliner…beating out The Cure, & Metallica…CRAZY! You all should check them out!!

Also, im super excited because next week Mika’s new DVD comes out! (incase you didnt know…im the biggest Mika fan alive!) and pretty soon Britney Spears’ new cd comes out too! (shes back! and better than ever! and you all know you have a soft spot for her in your hearts haha).

To conclude this blog…

Today our Mens Soccer Team is playing their semi-finals game here at PSH at 2pm! if your around you should come and watch!!

Also, this Sunday is Magical Night of Giving at Colonial Park Mall!! 7pm to 10pm. Tickets can be bought today at school all day in the lobby! Buy a ticket and support PSH Lion Ambassadors.

and lastly….two weeks till THANKSGIVING BREAK!!! (more on that later)

one last thing: if your in the Colonial Park area near Best buy  & also near Guitar center, be sure to make a donation to PSH’s THON canners who will be canning at those areas this weekend!!! Help us raise money for Four Diamonds!!! FTK!!

Happy Halloween!!!

Hey everyone!

So sorry i havent updated in awhile. I promise to keep this updated as much as possible now. This semester has been hectic for some reason. Schools just harder for me. i dont know.

Anyways, tons to tell!!

First of all, Blue & White Society is throwing the first BIG PEP RALLY of the Year and you all should be there!! November 19th!! Two Reasons why you should attend:: 1) Support PSH Athletics esp. Basketball!! 2) IM YOUR MC FOR THE NIGHT and im gonna make a huge fool of myself (you’ll wanna experience this lol).

Second: Lion Ambassadors are selling tickets to Magical Night of Giving. So if your a student/faculty member at PSH then come to our ticket tables to buy a ticket!

Third: Tomorrow is Halloween! Everyone is all excited. Im sure people will have things to do! I already went to a Halloween party. It was fun! I think the top costumes for the year are: Cowboys/girls, and Pirates. haha.

fourth: Phillies won the world series!!!!! ahhhh

fifth: The Campus is already preparing for THON 09!!!! If you see canners around the Harrisburg Area, please give a donation!! The 4 diamonds fund is something that Penn state cares deeply about!! February 9th is PennState harrisburg’s THON CONCERT! [mark your calendars!].

Sixth: my classes are not fun and i dont know what else to say about that. :(

Seventh: Thanksgiving break is soon! [im going to Texas....eh].

Hello All!

Happy Weekend!

This Saturday morning is beautiful! The sun is out, the leaves are falling, its a little chilly but still nice. Sounds like true Fall Weather!!

So school has been….school. haha. Nothing major to report.

Today is a busy dayyyy!! Me & my best Courtney are going to the Boys Soccer Game (2:30pm / HOME / be there!), then im heading off to do some errans. Blah. Boring but it’s life. Getting the oil changed in my car, shopping for halloween, etc..

Oh so i forgot to mention, I started my new job at Wet Seal last week! It’s sooo much fun! Being around clothes = heaven….for me haha!. Anyways, so thats going good. It’s nice not having to make food and get all gross. ugh. haha.

Last night was probably the most random night ever! Me & courtney went to Moe’s with some friends of ours, then we went back to her house & watched “Knocked Up”. Well the random part of the story was that our friends decided it would be brilliant to jump into her pool! Fun right? Not when its like 42 deg. outside and her pool is like 3 degs. haha. Well of course, you only live once, so we got in….and IT WAS SOOO COLD! i felt like i was one of those people on the titanic. It was ridiculous. :(

We survived but i think i got a little cold or something cuz im a bit sick. haha. oh well.

Anyways thats about all thats goin on!

MEGA HUGE UPDATE!

I AM BACK…though i never was gone….just busy!

So yeah its now October and school has just been crazyness which is why i havent had time to update :(

But no worries, im here, alive, breathing, being educated, etc… haha

Lets see,

September went by crazy fast! I dont know where the time went! School was slow, sometimes boring, but then all of a sudden, i have papers, tests, projects, ahhh crazyyyy!!!

I had my first Math exam two weeks ago, i just about died! It didnt help that my professor looked at everyones tests before they left so if he had an issue with a problem he wouldnt let you leave until you fixed it. It was super lame but i guess he only wants the best for us, and just to push us. Anyways, that exam took my the whole class period. Sucks!

I also had my first history exam! omg ive never been soo excited for an exam! but i was for this one! haha. I rocked the essay portion! Who knew i’d know so much about communism! haha.

I have communications exam this coming week! ahh. crazy but the class is still one of my favs.

What else? What Else?

Yeah nothing too exciting going on. Oh i got a new job!! I’m workin retail now. I figured since i wanna work in the fashion industry it be nice to get a job that has to do with it. So yeah, i start this week!

Halloween is coming soon! Sooo excited! Me & my best friend Courtney have already started shopping for costumes! haha.

So some events are coming up here at school and one i would like to talk about in particular.

“Silent Rave” is Oct 11th at 6pm here at school! its open to everyone at PSH and the Harrisburg Area! it’s gonna be lots of fun and you get a free glowstick! (if that makes u wanna come to it…though its while supplies last haha); Bring your i-pod / mp3 player and get ready to dance!

So thats about it. I still dont have cable :( but thank goodness for the internet! been keeping up on Gossip Girl, 90210, Greek, and my new fav. “The Rachel Zoe Project” [rachel zoe, i want your closet and your job!]

Um what else?? hmm…Oh go buy “InnerPartySytem” ‘s new CD!
